About Falwa

Falwa Restaurant is inspired by authentic Emirati heritage, where horses symbolize authenticity, nobility, and the identity of the UAE. Every detail within the space tells a story inspired by horsemanship and the beauty of horses in local culture, reflecting the spirit of the past blended with refined contemporary touches.

Falwa brings together the past and the present to offer a unique experience that celebrates heritage through a modern and elegant lens. The design incorporates aesthetic elements inspired by horses — their movement, grace, and majesty — throughout the venue.

The name “Falwa” was chosen for its meanings associated with softness and pure beginnings. Historically, the term referred to a young horse, symbolizing authentic origins and the deep-rooted heritage of the region.

The restaurant also draws inspiration from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s profound love for Arabian horses and his admiration for the white horse, in addition to the renowned horse Rabdan, making this legacy a source of pride and inspiration in Falwa’s identity.

The kitchen

Our chefs grind their own baharat, cure their own lemons and cook over binchotan charcoal. Seafood arrives daily from the Gulf; lamb is sourced from a single family farm. Nothing leaves the pass without a final taste.

The room

Hand-carved mashrabiya screens, brushed brass and low candlelight — a room designed for long dinners and quiet celebration, with a terrace facing the water.
